Netflix released their South African original series Blood & Water in May of 2020 and had everyone talking. The show follows a South African high school student named Puleng who believes that she may have solved the mystery of her sister’s disappearance. Puleng has struggled her entire life with living in the shadow of her older sister, Phumelele, who was kidnapped at birth. Her parents struggled to move past this and as the show opens, new revelations about her disappearance re-open these old wounds as Puleng sets out to find out if she can track down her long lost sister.
The first season of Blood & Water only had six episodes and ended on a major cliffhanger, leaving many people to wonder about the future of Puleng, Fikile, and the other characters in the series. Unfortunately, viewers will have to wait until the release of the second season of this South African family drama to find out what happens after the big finale of the first season.
